Somato-Emotional Therapy
Coming in 2027
The body remembers everything we've lived. Unexpressed emotion, old shocks, tension we never quite got to release: none of it just disappears.
It settles into the tissue, the nervous system, the way we breathe and hold ourselves. Somato-emotional therapy works directly with that memory, not through talking or analysis, but through slow, conscious touch and close attention to what the body is already trying to say.
This work is grounded in the body's actual anatomy: fascia, tissue, the nervous system, and specifically in polyvagal theory, the science of how our nervous system moves through three distinct states in response to threat, fight, flight, and freeze, developed by researcher Stephen Porges and now widely used across body-based therapeutic fields. When one of those responses never gets to complete itself, the charge stays held in the tissue. Slow, conscious touch gives that unfinished response room to complete, safely, at its own pace. The training itself moves in stages, anatomy and nervous system first, subtler layers of attunement only once that foundation is solid, noticing more than muscle alone. Emotional release is the aim throughout, not relaxation, not analysis, just space for what the body has been holding to finally move.
Listening sits at the heart of everything I do. Listening to the bees, to emotions, to the body, to that inner wisdom we all already carry within us. This practice is simply one more way of learning to hear it, and you can discover how it fits into the wider story on the My Philosophy page.
I’m currently in training, with this practice launching professionally in 2027.
