Doula support:

Pregnancy, (Re) Birth and Postpartum

Life's major transitions live in the body. Yet bodywork remains the most neglected part of how we move through them.

Across history and cultures, communities recognized that during profound life transitions, birth most of all, a woman needed to be held, nurtured, and supported through specific rituals and bodywork. The community provided social support, ensured rest, offered nourishing specific food, and gave bodywork suited to exactly what she was crossing through. This was ubiquitous across every continent, and still is in many parts of the world today. It used to be part of our own culture too, before that chain broke and many of us were left to piece it together alone.
Community, rest, nourishment, bodywork, these are the four pillars of being held through a transition. Bodywork is the one that somehow vanished and It's where I put my attention.
The fourth trimester is the season right after birth, roughly the first three months, when your body is still healing from pregnancy and birth, and your baby is still adjusting to life outside the womb. Many cultures gave this season a name and a real structure: la cuarentena across Latin America, forty days of deliberate rest, visitors kept at a distance, food cooked by someone else, movement kept small and close to home. It wasn't indulgence. It was simply what a body recovering from birth was understood to need.

I offer continuous doula support from pregnancy through birth and into this fourth trimester, blending certified INNATE Postpartum Care with DONA International training. Alongside that, I bring body-based practices, Rebozo Closing, Womb Lifting, Early Postpartum Herbal Ball Care, to make sure that fourth pillar is actually there, not just talked about.
You don't have to figure this out alone.

Individual Support

However this chapter is unfolding for you, there's a rhythm of support to match it. Two formats are available, depending on how much accompaniment feels right.

  • Both include help preparing a birth plan for your hospital team

  • If you're planning a home birth with a qualified midwife, we can discuss this on the phone

  • More on either of these on our call

Essential

3 sessions for 180€

We begin early, so there's time to actually prepare rather than rushing later on.

  • Session 1: A full picture of where you are, what you're carrying physically and emotionally, and what you'll actually need once the baby arrives. Includes early nutrition guidance to start building good habits before things get busy.

  • Session 2 : Midway through pregnancy, we return to refine the postpartum plan itself, covering the practical layer such as food, your support circle, and what to have on hand, alongside a Prenatal Yoga session to keep you anchored as things shift.
Plus, choose one topic to explore together: physiological changes · your baby's emotional health · nervous system regulation · natural rhythms · the pelvic floor · Chinese medicine · postpartum nutrition.

  • Session 3 (10 days to 3 weeks after birth): A real check-in on how the birth went and how you're healing, physically and emotionally.
Paired with Early Postpartum Herbal Ball Care*, and a nutrition tune-up suited to this new season of recovery.

Complete

4 sessions for 230€

The same arc as the Essential, held a little longer.

  • Session 1: Groundwork. We gather what matters most to you, your history, your concerns, what support looks like for you specifically.

  • Session 2 (later in pregnancy): We finish the postpartum plan and settle the practical details, food, support circle, home setup, with with a Prenatal Yoga session woven into the session.
Plus, choose one topic to explore together: physiological changes · your baby's emotional health · nervous system regulation · natural rhythms · the pelvic floor · Chinese medicine · postpartum nutrition.

  • Session 3 (10 days to 3 weeks after birth): Your first body care session, Early Postpartum Herbal Ball Care*, alongside an honest check-in on the birth itself, what happened, how you're feeling about it, what you still need.

  • Session 4 (around 6 weeks postpartum): Our final session together, a deeply nourishing Rebozo Closing, or Cerrar la Cadera, marking your body's return to itself after everything it just carried.

*For cesarean births, Early Postpartum Herbal Ball Care becomes available slightly later, from 30 days postpartum.
If this applies to you, we'll adjust the timing and body care choice for your third session together.

Body Care: à la carte

Body care is built into both formats: each postpartum session comes paired with a treatment suited to that stage of recovery. True support moves through more than one channel, mind and body both need their own kind of care, not just one or the other. Warmth, water, plants, and movement each carry their own way of reaching the body, through steam, through touch, through the herbs themselves, through the simple act of moving again, and together they do work that conversation alone can't.
If it helps you rest more fully, feel free to have your baby nearby but cared for by someone else during our sessions. Rest is easier to find when you're not also holding the baby, and that's exactly the point.

For any Combinations, a flower-and-plant bath, or hot shower if you prefer, is offered at the end, at no extra cost. Since the plants need time to prepare properly, this does need 48 hours' notice.
A herbal tea with honey from my own hives is served during every treatment.

Behind Each Treatment

Curious what's actually inside each of these? Here's a closer look at each element.

Early Postpartum Herbal Ball Care
A gentler counterpart to Womb Lifting, built specifically for the earliest weeks after birth. Using warm herbal compress balls and open palms in place of firmer pressure, this session works the same belly points with softness rather than depth, right for a body that's still healing. The herbal blend comes from my own garden at Kermenguy: mauve, lemon balm, oregano, mint and deadnettle, a calming mix suited to this earlier, more tender stage, rather than the more targeted blend used in Womb Lifting.
From 10-21 days after a vaginal birth, or 30 days after a cesarean.

Abhyanga Massage. A warm-oil massage rooted in Ayurvedic tradition, offered as a gentle addition to another session rather than on its own. Slow and light, it calms the nervous system, supports milk supply, and helps the body clear what it no longer needs after birth.

Rebozo Closing, or Cerrar la Cadera. A traditional mexican wrap using a long woven cloth, the rebozo, around the hips. The name means "closing the hips," and the ritual marks your body's return to itself after everything it just carried.
Originally a postpartum practice, this ritual also supports women through all kinds of life transitions, menopause, an empty nest, loss, illness, a career change, any moment of crossing a threshold. Many women also carry the effects of a pelvis that never fully "closed" for years after birth, so this ritual has its place well beyond the postpartum window too.

Vaginal Steam, or V-Steam. A gentle herbal steam bath for the pelvic area, using warmth rather than any internal treatment. The warmth helps soften residual tissue, supports the uterus in returning to its size, encourages healthy circulation, and can help release stored tension and emotion from the birth. It’s also simply one of the only pockets of quiet, private time many mothers get in the earliest weeks.

Sitz Bath. A gentler, seated alternative to the v-steam: a warm herbal soak for perineal comfort and healing, especially soothing after tearing or stitches. A good choice for anyone who wants something quieter and more passive than steaming.

Prenatal Yoga. A focused 30-minute session where I guide you gently and safely through a short practice, so you feel confident continuing it on your own at home between visits.

A nourishing Add-on, in more detail: ready-made, nutrient-rich food and drinks, drawing on specific Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine postpartum recipes designed to help your body regenerate and rebuild its strength. You can either take these home with you, or I can drop them off during a visit.
This is priced separately depending on what you need, so we simply talk it through together beforehand.

Collective course

INNATE Postpartum Care: Planning Your Fourth Trimester

260€ per couple

This is INNATE’s own program, taught as it was designed:
five classes, four before birth and one after, built entirely around education rather than individual body care.

It’s for couples who want to walk into the fourth trimester with a real plan, not just good intentions.

Each class runs two to three hours.

The fifth class gathers everyone again once each family has reached six weeks postpartum: part class, part reunion, and a small rite of passage of its own, as women step back into their communities from a place of strength rather than simple survival. The course is offered either as weekly sessions or as an intensive weekend, with the fifth class always held separately, timed to when your baby actually arrives.

Womblifting

An Ancestral Thai Practice for all Women

This one lives outside the doula packages entirely, on its own timeline. While its roots are in postpartum care, this practice speaks to any woman, at any stage of life, whether or not birth is part of her story.

Womb Lifting is an ancestral healing art from Thailand.
It works externally and gently across the lower abdomen, combining specific acupressure points with warmth and rhythm, following principles passed down through generations by hand rather than by book. Each session opens with a warm herbal compress ball, prepared from a traditional blend of rose, rosemary, lavender, yarrow and nettle, most of which I grow myself in the garden at Kermenguy. Its warmth and rhythm prepare the body before the deeper belly work begins.
There is no internal work involved at any point.
Traditionally, this practice supports postpartum recovery, fertility, and women’s health more broadly.
I trained in this practice under Pi Jem, a qualified midwife and herbalist from Thailand, earning certification in July 2026. A second stage of training, under midwife and herbalist teacher Homprang, is planned for early 2027 and will deepen this practice further.

Because of how this particular practice works with the body, timing matters here:
from 1 year after a vaginal birth, or 2 years after a cesarean, or outside any postpartum context, for any woman.

This is a non-medical, non-therapeutic body wellness treatment.

Where I practice

I welcome you to Kermenguy, an old family manor tucked into its own garden, just a few kilometers from the sea on Brittany’s wild northern coast.
Fun fact, Kermenguy comes from Breton, the Celtic native language still spoken in Brittany today: "Ker" is village/house and "Menguy," literally "stone dog," a warrior's name meaning something like "sturdy as rock."
It’s a quiet, unhurried place, and it’s also where I tend to my bees and the land, harvest honey and craft small-batch herbal-infused honeys by hand. If you’d like to bring some home with you, you’re welcome to browse them here.

Sessions within 20km of Kermenguy are priced as listed. If you're further out, just reach out and we'll figure out what makes sense together.
